Let’s Play Video Contest - Vote daily until June 23rd

The Let's Play Video Contest has begun! You decide which community will get their dream playground by voting for your favorite video out of the top 10 finalists, selected by KaBOOM! and Dr Pepper Snapple Group.

Schools and child-serving organizations from around the country have submitted short videos to tell you why they need a new playspace. The five groups with the most votes will receive a $20,000 grant to build new playgrounds.

These kids are counting on you. Casting a vote only takes a few moments and you can vote once a day until June 23 on the Let's Play Facebook page.

You'll see kids with superpowers, a drama where all the lights go out, and even play a few rounds of a new gameshow: Is it Vintage or Just Old?

Iam an early childhood education lecturer in one of the Universities in South Africa. I teach two modules that emphasize the importance of play in young children. Hence I did my Master research on exploring teachers experiences in using play as the teaching strategy in grade R (Reception years). Iam also engaged in community development project that envisage to develop play grounds in a poor community of Cato Manor in Durban, South Africa. Winning this competition will be a dream come true to those kids who play in an unsafe environment of Cato Manor.
