Playground Games You Can Play With Your Dog

Playground Games You Can Play With Your Dog

There is tons of stuff you and your dog can do when at home. But it is different when you take them out to a playground where they have much more space and freedom to play around.

Besides, after everything the world has been through, now is the best time to take your dog out for some refreshing activities and fun! It will help you and your family bond better with your little pooch and also you and your dog will get some physical exercise to keep you in shape and healthy.

Here are 5 games you can play with your dog in any playground!

Throw That Frisbee

This will never grow old no matter what era it is, classical frisbee toss! You need a place to play this game, but not necessarily as long as your dog is ready to run long distances. This game is famous amongst our dogs for a reason.

Dogs love to chase. So when you command them to fetch the frisbees you just threw, they would delightfully run after it no matter how far and get back to you because they know you will be proud of them and treat them with snacks.

So if your dog is getting you the frisbee back without losing it, make sure to treat them. It is a motivation for them to continue playing with you and become happier!

Tug Of War

Another exciting game to play with your dog while at a playground is to play tug of war!

Dogs love to battle their parents. They will put in their best to play against you, and they absolutely enjoy winning at something! Hand them over a robust rope in their mouths and see how they put all their efforts into winning over you.

Just make sure no one gets hurt, and you are not applying too much force that may hurt them in any way. Remember, you are doing all this so your dog goes out and plays with you in a playground. We need to keep them motivated!

Round Robin

This is by far the best game you can play with your dog. The good thing about it is the game involves the entire family. No matter the number of people, everyone has to spread out far enough and call out the dog's name to see who he runs towards.

Round robin is a game for everyone. Everyone, including your dog, enjoys it. In fact, your dog will absolutely love all the attention and admiration that he is getting from his family members and friends. Plus, if he receives a treat from every member who your dog runs to, they will be on top of the world!

In order to make sure your dog plays this game well, you need to provide him with the best dog food ingredients. His meal should be low residue and potato free. This will give him ample amount of strength to play round robin without injuring himself!

Dig A Hole

If you frequently find buried holes around a playground; maybe there was another dog family who played a ‘dig-a-hole’ game before you. That is the reason why you see so many areas of piled-up dirt or sand.

If you own a dog, you would know how much they like games that involve dirt, and they are fine getting dirty too. Digging a hole is just the game for dogs who want to let go and enjoy their freedom while they can.

Take your dog to a playground and allow them to go around as they please to dig holes with their paws as deep as they would like.

The good thing about this game is that you don't need a lot. You don’t need treats. You don’t need another dog or more friends. It is just your dog enjoying on his own till he is tired to not continue digging anymore.

Digging a hole means he can enjoy whenever he wants in any playground.

Hide And Seek

Who said the hide and seek game is only for humans?

You can play hide and seek with your dog too, and they will love it as much as any other human. Take your furry friend to a playground and if nothing helps just play hide and seek with them.

Use the playground wisely and hide in places where your dog can easily find you. Cheer your dog up with treats or snacks if possible, or else just the fact that your pooch found you will excite him.

Final Thoughts

If you are a parent of beautiful dogs for long enough, you realize that dogs love to play and enjoy going out more than they like staying back at home. Indoor activities might not be as much fun for your dog as outdoor activities.

So, go out and take your dog to a playground frequently so they can enjoy themselves better!
