Public parks are increasing not only in numbers but in the types of usage they are experiencing. What once was a place to take your children to slide and swing has now become a multi-use area incorporating high-tech covered playgrounds, sports fields, dog parks, walking trails, and splash grounds. It's exciting to see this development and at the same time a challenge for many Cities working hard to service and maintain those areas. This is where the new generation of multi-use park buildings has come into play (pun intended)!
Prefabricated Restroom companies are leading the way with innovative multi-use buildings which house traditional, albeit much more attractive and user-friendly, restrooms and so much more. Buildings with concession and ticket areas, storage rooms with large roll-up doors, office areas, break rooms, and even pump-rooms for splash pad operations can be easily added and configured to fit client's wants and needs.
Maintenance is the name of the game. Maintaining this new generation of multi-use parks is not an easy task. In the past, it was not uncommon to see a City Parks maintenance crew driving around town with a trailer and mower in tow. Having the right equipment and supplies housed at a larger multi-use park is now not only a convenience it is a must. When designing a new building for a client a prefabricated building company will work with their client to determine just how much space is needed for the type of equipment that is expected to be used. Buildings can be designed to store zero turn mowers, gators, and everything in between with easy access through metal roll-up doors. Inside these types of storage rooms, electrical outlets will be carefully and strategically placed to ensure batteries, tools, and electric zero-emission mowers can be kept at full charge ready to take on their tasks! Keep in mind that this is not only a storage room but can and will most likely have added areas for public restrooms, office space, and even concessions.
Not only is there now a need for maintenance equipment in larger multi-use parks, but many will also have a need for sports equipment storage. Nets, line markers (even robot line markers), bases, balls, and other sports equipment can have their own safe storage space without the worry of damage or theft. With multiple size and configuration options available, a park system can now customize and design a building to meet its specific need.
In addition to storage space, a City can now custom configure a building with several different levels of concession areas, air-conditioned office or ticket booth space, and rooms specifically designed to protect pump manifolds for increasingly popular splash pad areas. Not only can a City custom configure their building's floor plan, but they can also determine what their building will look like on the outside. A prefabricated building company will work with their client to determine what their vision is for their new building offering choices of exterior architecture and materials, even to the point of matching existing site architecture so that a seamless blend of old and new can come together as a unified system of buildings and amenities.
All of this and more can be built off-site in a plant typically in 90 to 120 days, delivered to a site Nationwide, and installed in a matter of days. Imagine that, an entire building containing nice public restrooms, storage areas, office space, concessions, and pump rooms set in place and ready to use usually in less than 1 week after delivery! No worries about rain or weather-related construction delays, no worries about construction site liability, no worries about damage or theft of onsite construction materials. No worries because that building is being constructed off-site, in an enclosed plant, safe and secure.
Delivering innovation, functionality, structural integrity, and visual beauty is the goal of a prefabricated building manufacturer. Making it easy for their clients is the result.
Prefabricated Park Building/Multi-Use
What is the price for a building as shown above?
Prefab multi-use Park structure
We are looking into the possibility of purchasing a prefab mixed use building for one of our parks. We envision a multi-purpose room with a small kitchenette, rest rooms accessible from the inside, a separate set of restrooms accessible from the outside and covered picnic areas. A total of about 2,000 sq. ft.. I have a sketch of a sample floor plan available.
