With the sun soaring high and summer taking its place, all of us want to enjoy the stunning weather, forget the pandemic and go to Achill Island and relax. (if not you, then at least me)
Also, thankfully, the gyms are now open, and I can work out & burn a lot of extra calories & get that summer perfect body. But no doubt, it’s a hardcore job to work out in summers and get the summer-perfect body.
I won’t lie, but I dread working out in summers, but recently I found an easy way out.
Virtual Reality fitness regime.
Though agreed, Virtual Reality is not something that you will directly associate with fitness. (in the beginning, I was also adamant). But let me tell you through my experience, virtual reality combined with fitness is actually fun working out!
Industry experts from the European part of the world also believe, “In the coming 7 years, there won't be any fitness centres in Ireland, Netherland & UK with some element of AR VR”. Amazing, isn’t it.
Well, let me just quickly tell you guys how I came across Virtual Reality Fitness. And later I’ll let you know its benefits.
In the pandemic, a friend of mine got VR headsets for her kids. And it was no sooner when she also tried it out. She told me that they were exploring VR games every other day when they came across a fitness game. Here is some shocking stuff: She absolutely hated exercising (BEFORE)!
The game had some rewarding elements like if they played it on a treadmill, they would get extra points, etc!
And yes, that’s how she got into this virtual reality fitness regime!
And whoa, she even suggested to me VR fitness!
Now I’m in awe of it, as you can see!
Let’s dive into its benefits now, there are many, I bet, but my writing capacity will only let me tell you the important ones! ;) Sorry! :0
Forget the pain and get yourself entertained.
If you have ever seen an athlete working out, you go on a series of questions - don’t you feel pain working out continuously? Do you never run out of motivation? Don’t you have some days of setbacks where you just don’t want to hit the gym? They also have setbacks, no motivation Mondays, painful strains, etc. - but what they possess is strong willpower that continuously helps them stay physically strong and active.
When it comes to us, we lack the willpower to stay healthy physically and mentally. And this is where Virtual Reality fitness comes into the picture.
Once you try working out with Virtual Reality, you’ll never feel that you are “working out”. It will always seem like a playful activity, and every try with virtual reality will make you say, “let’s do it once again!”
The ‘huff and puff’ at the treadmill will turn into whoa yoho!
And it would be no sooner when you are able to meet your fitness goals.
KleverApps an app development Ireland company, especially having expertise in developing VR apps, states, “when a person tries working out with VR, the brain becomes immersed in visually stimulating activity, which helps in taking the mind from how tired you’re feeling or from how long you’ve been working.”
Yes, that happens! Once I worked out for continuous 45 minutes, and I didn’t even realize.
Virtual reality fitness is something for everybody. Whether you’re a tech entrepreneur looking forward to developing an app or a fitness freak who wants to explore more activities - Virtual Reality Fitness is actually your cup of tea!
The main reason why Virtual Reality is a great asset when it comes to fitness is that it comes with great headsets. It is reported that when you work out with VR headsets, then 80% of your brain focuses on visual tracks, leaving behind far less intellectual power to focus on the other environmental elements, which helps you in keeping strong willpower and determination throughout your workout.
Thus, if you are looking to invest in a startup idea based on Virtual Reality, a VR fitness app would be a great idea because as you see there would be many users that look forward to incorporating VR in their daily exercises.
Good for soul and body
When you mix VR with physical activities, a hormone named endorphin is released, which stimulates balanced heartbeats and blood levels which is truly good for your body and mind.
It’s said that fitness is not only about a healthy body but also a healthy mind. And here, VR has the potential to enhance your workout sessions with a total of 360° fitness solutions. When you’re looking forward to turning yourself into a healthy person, don’t you think you should be looking at all aspects? (I also neglected mental health wellbeing but I now I do care and try being a stress-free person)
What has helped me relax is VR combined with my workout sessions because when you work out with VR, you forget the environmental elements. Besides, VR games push you to immerse in a new world, which helps you forget all the stress factors you might be having and helps you in keeping calm.
Let me give you my example; years back, somebody told me to include yoga in my life, I started doing yoga, but I wasn’t able to meditate effectively as I had a number of thoughts running over in my mind. I wouldn’t like to admit it but then I stopped doing Yoga.
But fortunately, that’s not the case right now. I make sure that I work out daily, and all thanks to Virtual Reality fitness techniques.
If you’re at the ‘sofa stage’ of working out, VR is in one solution for aerobics, yoga, weight training, etc.
Takeaway
And so, for anyone of you trying to get your heart pumping again, I bet VR is gonna be super helpful. It’s time to get your VR kit ready, put on the willpower, and yes; you’re all set.
Here is a special note for all the entrepreneurs: - It’s an excellent time to be the owner of some fantastic VR fitness apps as VR fitness promises a bright future for every fitness enthusiast, and that’s why I can confidently say that you will have a large user base and even greater ROIs. Giving it a thought, you won’t regraught (UKWIM) ;)
