2020 Conference on the Value of Play

The US Play Coalition is now accepting proposals for Educational Sessions, Poster Presentations and the Play Research Symposium at the 2020 Conference on the Value of Play: PLAY FOR ALL. 

The conference will be held March 29 – April 1, 2020, at Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina.  Learn more about the conference at usplaycoalition.org/playconference2020  

“PLAY FOR ALL” will explore play across the lifespan and address universal issues of access, equity, inclusion, health and more.

The latest research and practices in the field of play will be presented at the play conference, which brings together play researchers, park and recreation professionals, educators, health scientists, architects, landscape architects, business and community leaders, psychologists, physicians, museum professionals, students and parents from across the U.S. and beyond.

At the Conference on the Value of Play, we have long relied on scholars, practitioners and industry leaders to share their expertise on various aspects of play. Submit your application to present in one of the following theme tracks (detailed on the call website):

  • Education & Play
  • Health, Recreation & Play
  • Nature-Base & Outdoor Play
  • Accessible & Inclusive Play
  • Multi/Intergenerational & Adults at Play
  • Designing for Play
  • Emerging Trends in Play
  • International/Global Play
  • Nuts & Bolts

 

Those whose presentations are accepted for the 2020 Conference on the Value of Play are eligible to apply for research and action grants (Additional application required). Learn more about our grants program at usplaycoalition.org/action-research-grants

All conference presentation proposal submissions are peer-reviewed using a double-blind process. Deadline for proposal submissions is 11:59 pm EST on Thursday, October 31, 2019.
