If it doesn’t have a Whitewater West structure, you’re missing out
Have you seen the series of Holiday Inn Express commercials that show people doing things they shouldn’t be doing, including performing medical operations? My favorite is the one where the man appears to be an instructor for skydivers.
He instructs first-time jumpers as they approach the airplane door and yells, “Give me a clean exit and a good arch, go! Pay attention, right, heads up, at 4,500 feet, look, reach, pull. Go, come on, you can do it.”
The divers jump while listening to his instructions. Then a woman who is about to go stops and asks the man how many times he has done this. He answers, “None, but I just stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night.”
The best part of this commercial is that the lady dives out the door anyway just as the background fades to black with the message, “It won’t make you smarter. But you’ll feel smarter.”
Although these are Holiday Inn Express commercials, it’s actually the Holiday Inn franchise that is making some smarter decisions these days. One hotel, in particular, has done something that has a lot of other hotel chains thinking twice about its new designs.
Recently the Holiday Inn Amana Colonies in Iowa added a new indoor Wasserbahn Waterpark to its facility. This custom-designed waterpark displays a frontier building facade. The waterpark includes two indoor/outdoor waterslides, plus a multilevel interactive AquaPlay structure with a Rustic Farm theme by Whitewater West. The various spray and play features create fun for the entire family.
Most hotels’ amenity lists peak with a coffee maker and hairdryer. Wouldn’t it be nice if you were scanning through the list of hotel features, and between the 32-inch television and microwave you noticed AquaPlay AP-200? Even if you weren’t familiar with all the great products from Whitewater West, the AquaPlay name alone lets you know it’s going to be better than your standard hotel swimming pool.
The AquaPlay AP-200 is an active and colorful water play center. It’s loaded with water features including spray nozzles, jets, pull valves and an umbrella jet. The AP-200 also includes two slides in a dual-open and a single enclosed configuration. Unique AngleForm construction makes this attraction safe, durable and easy to maintain.
AquaPlay produces fun because WhiteWater uses platforms, standpipes and water features to help expand the amount of play possible for children of all ages. All play centers carry the guarantee of reliability, performance, and workmanship.
