Candra Thornton is an educational content designer for Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit organization behind Sesame Street. As an advocate for play-centric pedagogy and curricula for 20+ years, Candra has been involved in all aspects of the early childhood education field, including kindergarten teacher, university professor, children’s museum program coordinator, and child development consultant. She is also one of the co-authors of the Developmental Benefits of Playgrounds (ACEI, 2004).
