Deanna Ryan received her bachelor's degree in middle-grade education (1991) and her master's degree in biology (1999) from the State University of West Georgia. She has taught middle-grade science and English for years in Georgia's public schools. Currently, she is writing articles and fiction from her residence ins Carrollton, Ga.
