Nina was born in Boston but grew up in Takoma Park, Maryland. She is currently a Sophomore at McDaniel College in Westminster Maryland, where she is majoring in Psychology and has two minors in English and Communication. She was always an active child and did many different sports throughout her childhood including fencing, soccer, and basketball before settling on karate. She trains with Kaizen Karate and earned her black belt in 2021. She is currently teaching private lessons to karate students during the year and karate classes over the summer. She had an internship with Pat Rumbaugh's Let's Play America organization in 2018, and still regularly volunteers at the annual Takoma Park Play Day.
