What’s new in play design? Lots of things! Today’s play designers are thinking “outside of the box” to address the relationship of play and design. Inclusive design is a hot topic making play possible side-by-side with children and adults of all abilities. Including natural elements in children’s play areas offers exposure to nature that is often limited especially to our urban children. Themed playgrounds offer an opportunity for imaginative play.
