Now working as a writer, Jackie started her career as an English teacher , but after becoming a mom, refocused and decided to spend more time with her family. When she's not writing, she volunteers for a number of local mental health charities, as both she and her daughter are on the autism spectrum and she does what she can to support other people who have the condition. Jackie also has a menagerie of pets to look after.
